CRUSH HAZARD
Do not allow hands, other body
parts and clothing to come in
contact with moving machinery
parts.
6. Move the traveling crane horizontally to move the
slider out of the groove.
7. Remove the scissor assembly.
Removing the Lift Cylinder
HIGH-PRESSURE HAZARD
Slowly remove the hydraulic
components to reduce hydraulic oil
pressure. Hydraulic oil under high
pressure could penetrate the skin. If
you’re hurt by the hydraulic oil, seek
medical attention immediately.
NOTICE
Use caution when removing the cylinder. Do not
allow the cylinder to drop and get damaged.
1. Attach the scissor arm to a traveling crane for
support, and raise the scissor until the safety arm
can be set up.
2. Set up the safety arm to support the scissor, and
use a suitable supporting device to support the lift
cylinder.
3. Disconnect and plug the hoses and fittings on the
hydraulic cylinder.
4. Loosen the bolt #3 connecting the upper cylinder
rod with the scissor, and remove the keeper pin.
5. Loosen the bolt #1 connecting the upper cylinder
rod with the scissor, and remove the mounting
plate.
MOVING OBJECT HAZARD
Wear eye protection when striking
the brass drift with a mallet.
6. Using the brass drift and mallet, knock the pivot
pins out.
7. Carefully remove the upper lift cylinder.
8. Loosen the bolt #4 connecting the lower cylinder
rod with the scissor, and remove the keeper pin.
9. Loosen the nut #2 connecting the lower lift cylinder
end with the scissor, and remove the bolt and
keeper pin.

10. Using the brass drift and mallet, knock the pivot
pins at both ends of lift cylinder out.
11. Carefully remove the lower lift cylinder.
