Clean the extruder gear
Maintenance scenario
When extruding the filament, the gear needs to rub and engage the filament, which
will produce waste in the process. With the accumulation of waste materials, the
friction between filaments and gears decreases, and the extrusion efficiency will
also decrease, or even can not be extruded. In addition, accumulated waste
material may fall into the nozzle and clog it. Therefore, you need to clean the
gears inside the extruder regularly.
Maintenance frequency
At least once a month.
Maintenance method
1.
Prepare the cleaning tool: cotton swab.
2.
Push down on the idler latch on the front of the printhead to Unload it.
3. Use a cotton swab to remove the waste material from the idler gear until there
is no visible residue.
