Tuning in stations by
programme type
— PTY
You can tune in a station by selecting the type of
programme you would like to listen to.
Note
You cannot use this function in some countries where
no PTY (Programme Type selection) data is available.
1 During FM band reception press
(FUNCTION) repeatedly to display the
function menu “PTY.”
2 Press (F3) (PTY).
The current programme type name appears if
the station is transmitting the PTY data*

3 Rotate the R dial to select the desired
programme type.
The programme types appear in the order
shown in the table*

4 Press the R dial.
The unit starts searching for a station
broadcasting the selected programme type.
“No Data” appears if the programme type is
not specified in the RDS data.
*1 “ B” is displayed to the left of the programme type.
*2 You cannot select “None.”
