7.1.7 Footswitch
The gi4000 footswitch is used to activate both radiofrequency (RF) electrical energy and
lavage flushing with the Power ON/OFF Pedal and the Irrigation Pedal, respectively. Both
power and irrigation can NOT be active at the same time. Standby Mode is activated and
released by the black, circular button located between the pedals.
The gi4000 footswitch is waterproof and fully submersible for cleaning, EXCEPT for the
footswitch connector. Reference section 10.3.2 Care, Cleaning and Storage for detailed
cleaning instructions.
