gi4000 ESU.
4. To remove the empty argon gas bottle, turn the bottle counterclockwise until fully
unscrewed from the gi4000 ESU port.
5. Discard the empty argon gas bottle in either the trash or the recycling according to
your facility standards.
WARNING: Venting and Discarding Argon Gas Bottles. ALWAYS
remove the argon coagulation accessory device from the patient in the event
that the argon gas bottle becomes empty and needs to be replaced.
Disconnect the ArConnect® probe connector from the gi4000 ArConnect®
probe connector receptacle. Reconnect all accessories ONLY after
installing a new argon gas bottle.
NOTE: The gi4000 ESU argon system is self-contained. The argon gas
bottle does not need to be removed from the gi4000 ESU between
procedures, only when empty. When the argon gas bottle is removed from
the gi4000 ESU system, the user will hear the release of residual argon
gas from the argon system.
WARNING: Venting and Discarding Argon Gas Bottles. DO NOT
discard argon gas bottles that have not been fully vented. Disposal
regulations require that bottles be empty before being discarded or
recycled. The gi4000 ESU venting cycle is designed to vent the bottle to
fully empty.
