There may have been a transient interruption in the
AC mains. Power OFF/ON. If the fault does not
reappear, the gi4000 is OK. If POST is not
successful or if the fault screen returns, then

12.2 Troubleshooting

gi4000 does not Power
ON.
Connect the Power Line Cord to the AC Mains Connector on the rear
panel of the unit and snap the Cord Lock into place. Connect the
Power Line Cord into the wall outlet.
Check both fuses in the AC Mains Connector on the rear of the
gi4000.
Touchscreen does not
illuminate.
Confirm that the gi4000 will Power ON (see above).
Touchscreen is illuminated
but unresponsive.
Touchscreen calibration required. Contact STERIS Customer
Service.
Footswitch does not
operate.
Check the Footswitch connection on the back of the gi4000. Align the
red dot on the Footswitch Connector with the red dot on the Footswitch
Receptacle on the rear panel of the unit. Push in to connect. An audible
click should be heard when the Footswitch is connected.
Pump tubing does not
draw fluid.
Check that the Pump Head Tubing Adjustments are set correctly.
Verify that the flow direction is correct, and that tubing is submersed
in water inside of the bottle. See section 9.5 System Installation and
Setup: Setup Lavage Pump.
