5.3 OPERATING ELEMENTS
The machine is operated using the following operating
elements:
1 Main switch
Position 0 = OFF
Position 1 = ON The machine is switched on
and the heating element is
warmed-up.
2 Auto Load
After changing the strap coil, the strap is automati-
cally advanced by pushing this button.
3 EMERGENCY STOP
All machine functions are stopped by pushing this
button.
4 Start button / in-operation indicator
The start button or foot pedal is used to trigger a
strapping. Requirement: switch (3/7) in manual
position. The lamp lights as soon as the power
is switched on. If the lamp blinks, the machine is
not functioning properly.
5 Strap feeding /retracting switch
Turn to left (counter-clockwise):
Strap is feed through the arch into the sealing unit.
Turn to right (clockwise):
The strap is retracted to the strap magazine.
6 Reset
Returns the machine to its starting position and
cuts the strap.
7 Selector switch manual / automatic
Manual: triggers a strapping using
the start button or foot pedal.
Automatic: if the table switch is acti-
vated by a package, strapping is star-
ted automatically. If the switch conti-
nues to be activated, another strap-
ping is performed.
8/9 Strap tension weaker / stronger
The adjusted value is shown on the display (3/10).
10 Digital display
0–20 = Strap tension
AL = Error message (votlage too low < 0,67 V)
AH = Error message (excess voltage > 4,4 V
AE = Error motor M7
AP = Error motor M7 (direction of rotation,
displacement of phase)

11 Foot pedal
The foot pedal or start button is used to trigger a
strapping. Requirement: switch (3/7) in manual
position.
