6.3.2 Cable Crimping
Crimp cables as follows before electrical connection.
step 1 Strip off the insulation cover of the cable with a tripped length of 5mm longer than the depth
of the cable lug;
step 2 Insert the heat-shrinkable tubing;
1. A tubing with a length 2cm longer than the depth of the cable lug is recommended;
2. Insert the heat-shrinkable tubing into the cable lug;
step 3 Crimp the cable lug. It is recommended to use DT cable lug.
1. Put the stripped cable inside the cable lug;
2. Crimp them with relevant tools at least twice.
step 4 Heat the tubing with hot air blower.
If multi-core cables are used, a cable jacket at the bifurcation point is recom-
mended to prevent the insulation layer from cracking.
