STARTER MOTOR REMOVAL AND
DISASSEMBLY
• Remove the starter motor. (!3-16)
• Disassemble the starter motor, as shown.
STARTER MOTOR INSPECTION
CARBON BRUSHES
Inspect the carbon brushes for abnormal wear, cracks or smooth-
ness in the brush holder.
If either carbon brush is defective, replace the brush assembly.
