ENGINE REASSEMBLY
Reassemble the engine in the reverse order of disassembly. The
following steps require special attention or precautionary mea-
sures should be taken.
NOTE:
Apply engine oil to each running and sliding part before reas-
sembling.
• Install the O-rings (1 and 2) and dowel pins 3 in the correct
position as shown.

Replace the O-rings with new ones to prevent oil leak-
age.
• Install the oil pump 4 into the lower crankcase with the three
bolts and then tighten them to the specified torque.
NOTE:
Apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK “1342” to the bolts.

Make sure that the oil jets

• Install the gearshift cam stopper bolt 6.

Before installing the gearshift cam stopper bolt
