5-30 CHASSIS
REMOVAL
• Support the motorcycle with the center stand.
• Remove the cotter pin. (E-28)
• Remove the rear axle nut

1.
• Remove the rear axle and disengage the drive chain from the
rear sprocket.
• Remove the rear wheel.

• Remove the spacer

2 (LH) and collar

3 (RH).
• Remove the rear sprocket mounting drum assembly

4 from
the rear wheel.
NOTE:
Before removing the rear sprocket mounting drum, slightly
loosen the rear sprocket nuts to facilitate later disassembly.
• Remove the retainer

5.
• Remove the rear sprocket from sprocket mounting drum.
Do not operate the rear brake pedal with the rear
wheel removed.
