ENGINE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
Before taking the engine out of the frame, wash the engine
using a steam cleaner. Engine removal is sequentially explained
in the following steps.
• Drain engine oil. (!2-9)
• Remove the seat and frame covers. (!5-4)
• Remove the frame head covers. (GSF650: ! 5-5)
• Remove the cowling. (GSF650S: !5-5)
• Remove the fuel tank. (!4-3)
• Remove the air cleaner box mounting bolts

• Remove the luggage box

• Disconnect the battery
- lead wire.
• Disconnect the engine ground wire coupler
3.
• Disconnect all of the spark plug caps.
• Disconnect the PAIR valve hoses

C.
A Air cleaner hose
B Vacuum hose
C PAIR hoses
• Disconnect the breather hose
