Cover the rear shock absorber with a transparent plastic bag

Hold the rear shock absorber
2 with a vice.
Mark a hole with a 3 mm drill.

INSTALLATION
Install the swingarm and rear shock absorber in the reverse
order of removal. Pay attention to the following points:
When remount the rear shock absorber and cushion lever, set
the index line rearward.
Tighten the cushion lever rod mounting nuts
1 and rear
shock absorber lower mounting nut
2 to the specified torque.
# Cushion lever rod mounting nut
1: 78 N·m (7.8 kgf-m)
Rear shock absorber lower mounting nut
2:
50 N·m (5.0 kgf-m)
Tighten the swingarm pivot nut
3 to the specified torque.
# Swingarm pivot nut:100 N·m (10.0 kgf-m)
Wear eye protection to protect your eyes from
released gas and metal chips.
