8.9 GROUND HANDLING
(a) Towing
The aircraft may be moved by hand with a tow bar, or by a towing
vehicle.
Oneperson can move the aircraft on a smooth, level surface by using a
tow bar attached to the nose wheel. Helpers can push on the wing
struts near their attachments to the fuselage or on the leading edge of
theverticalfin.
Do not exert force on the control surfaces, the propeller blades, or on
thepropellerspinner.
Totowtheaircraftwithavehicle,youshouldfollowthesesteps:
(1) Attachthetowbartothenosewheelandsecure.
(2) Attach the tow bar to the vehicle.
(3) Removeanyinstalledrudder lock.
(4) Removewheelchocks.
(5) Towaircrafttothedesiredlocation.
