NORMAL PROCEDURES
If oil pressure is not indicated or it is too low within 30 seconds
afterenginestart,stoptheengineanddeterminethe cause.
In very cold weather it will take a few seconds longer to get
anoilpressureindication.
Starter manufacturers recommend limiting cranking
periods to 30 seconds with a two minutes rest between
cranking periods. Longer starting attempts will shorten the
lifeofthestarter.

(f) Warm up (4.5f)
Warm-up the engine at 1000 - 1200 RPM. Engine is warm for takeoff
whenthrottlecanbeopenedwithoutenginefaltering.
In the meantime, turn on required electrical equipment such as the
navigation equipment, setup if necessary and check for proper
functioning.
Check all engine parameters, the volt- / ammeter as well as the suction
gaugereadings. All circuit breakersmust be ON.
(g) Taxiing (4.5 g)
After ascertaining the area in the intended taxi direction is clear,
increase the engine power slowly. Taxi forwards a few feet, and apply
the brakes to determine their effectiveness. While taxiing, make
slight turns to check the function of the steering. Check once more
ailerons, elevator and rudder for proper deflection, smoothness and
