Direct the anti-freezing additive into the flowing fuel stream. Start
the additive feed after the start of refueling and stop before
completion of refueling. Assure that the concentrated additive
never comes into contact with any aircraft painted surfaces.
Fuel additive cannot be used as a substitute for preflight draining of
the fuel system drains (see section 4 NORMAL PROCEDURES,
“Preflight Check“).
Some fuels have anti-freezing additives included at the
refinery, so no further blending is required.
The supplier and/or the specialists of the service
station can offer information on the fuel composition.
