8.3. ALIGNING THE TREAD-BELT MOTOR DRIVE-BELT

Carry out the procedure described in
paragraph: 7.12. Motor guard disassembly”,
only as far as removing the upper guard.
1. Remove the dust guard.
2. Release the spring (a) of the belt tensioning
mechanism.
3. Use a straight reference rod, resting it on the
pulley (b) of the motor roller to align the belt
(c) by shifting it within the races of the two
pulleys.
4. After having aligned the belt, reassenbly the
tension spring.
