4.10 VARIABLE VOLTSIDIV CONTROL
Select the active channel using the
or
a
SELECT
COUPLING button if the VOLTSIDIV setting of the channel you
want to vary is not boxed in the readout display.
VOLTSIDIV
Press and hold in the
knob (inner knob) while turning it
counterclockwise.
The uncal symbol
(>)
is displayed in front of the VOLTSIDIV
readout of the affected channel when the Variable control is out
of the detent setting. The knob must be held in while turning
it
to
change the variable gain setting for the channel.
VOLTSIDIV
Press and hold in the knob again while turning it clock-
wise until
a
beep is heard.
The calibrated VOLTS/DIV setting is then restored for the
selected channel.
One use the Variable VOLTSIDIV control is to set a waveform display
amplitude to
a
specific number of divisions between the calibrated
settings.

CHI AND CH2 INVERTED DISPLAY
Press the top-panel button to call up the Display menu.
An
inverted choice is boxed in the menu when called up.
Press
INVI~
or
1~~24
to switch that channel's
display between inverted and noninverted. The menu clears
when the selection is made, and a small down arrow is dis-
played in front of the VOLTSIDIV readout for an inverted channel.
