Phaser 740 and 750 Color Printers
If no motors appear to be at fault, replace the engine control board.
Testing for a shorted motor
1.
Remove the cabinet top and rear access panel.
2.
Refer to the topic “Wiring Diagram” on page 135 for a diagram that locates each
connector.
3.
Disconnect the motor harnesses.
4.
Turn on the printer again to see if it overloads now that the motors are
disconnected from the engine driver board.
If the motors and solenoids are functional, but the power supply still does not
function, replace it.
