GNSS Antenna Installation Guidelines
The antenna must be installed according to the antenna manufacturer’s instructions
for maximum performance of the GNSS receiver.
The position of the antenna must be carefully evaluated when operating in conjunction
with any other antenna or transmitter.
The antenna must not be installed inside metal cases or near any obstacle that may
degrade features such as antenna lobes and gain.
Powering the External LNA (Active Antenna)
The active antenna LNA needs a power source because the 1.8V or 3V DC voltage required
by the active antenna is not provided by the ME910G1 module, but can easily be included
by the host design.
Note: In the case of a GNSS antenna placed near the module, a gain
of 15dB is sufficient, in the case of long cable the gain must be
increased up to 30dB.
