Finding Partial Expansions
With the
expand („ 3) function’s optional var value, you can do a partial expansion that
collects similar powers of a variable.
Solving an Equation
Use the
solve („ 1) function to solve an equation for a specified variable.
solve(equation, var)
Do a full expansion of (x

Ny) with
respect to all variables.
Then do a partial expansion with respect to x.
Solve
x + y N 5 = 2x N 5y for x.
Notice that solve displays only the final result.
