What to do if Thermal Dynamics Cutter pilot arc is on but cutting arc will not establish?
    • S
      Scott WatkinsSep 14, 2025
If the pilot arc is on but the cutting arc won't establish on your Thermal Dynamics Cutter, try these solutions: * Ensure the work cable is properly connected to the workpiece. * If the work cable is connected, inspect it for any breaks and replace it if necessary.

How to fix the FAULT & 80 PSI indicators flashing and gas flow cycling on and off on my Thermal Dynamics CUTMASTER Welding System?
    • J
      Jack LutzAug 31, 2025
If the FAULT & 80 PSI indicators are flashing and the gas flow is cycling on and off, first, check if the torch shield cup is loose and tighten it by hand, being careful not to overtighten. Also, verify that the torch tip, electrode, or starter cartridge are not missing; if they are, turn off the power supply, remove the shield cup, and install the missing parts. Another potential cause is a stuck torch start cartridge; in this case, turn off the power supply, bleed down the system pressure, remove the shield cup, tip, and start cartridge, and check the start cartridge lower end fitting for free movement, replacing it if it does not move freely.

What to do if Thermal Dynamics Cutter TEMPERATURE indicator is on and FAULT indicator is flashing?
    • T
      Tracy MilesSep 16, 2025
If the TEMPERATURE indicator is on and the FAULT indicator is flashing on your Thermal Dynamics Cutter, consider the following: * Ensure that air flow through or around the unit is not obstructed. Refer to clearance information in section 2.04. * Allow the unit to cool down if the duty cycle has been exceeded.

What to do if Thermal Dynamics Cutter GAS LED is off, and FAULT and MIN pressure indicators are flashing?
    • H
      Heather AliSep 15, 2025
If the GAS LED is off, and the FAULT and MIN pressure indicators are flashing on your Thermal Dynamics Cutter, you can try the following steps: * Connect the gas supply to the unit. * Turn on the gas supply. * Set the air supply inlet pressure to the unit to 120 psi. * Adjust the regulator to set the air pressure - see section 4.02.

What to do if the ON / OFF switch is on, but the A/C Indicator does not light on my Thermal Dynamics CUTMASTER Welding System?
    • A
      Allison NolanSep 23, 2025
If the ON/OFF switch is on but the A/C Indicator doesn't light, first, check if the primary power disconnect is in the OFF position and turn it ON. Then, have a qualified person check the primary fuses or breakers. You can also try connecting the unit to a known good primary power receptacle.

What to do if the GAS indicator is off and FAULT and MIN pressure indicators are flashing on my Thermal Dynamics CUTMASTER?
    • W
      William LeeAug 27, 2025
If the GAS indicator is off, and the FAULT and MIN pressure indicators are flashing, it could be due to several reasons: * The gas supply might not be connected; ensure it is properly connected. * The gas supply might not be turned on; make sure to turn it on. * The gas supply pressure could be too low; set the air supply inlet pressure to 120 psi.

How to fix a flashing fault indicator and 65 PSI indicator on Thermal Dynamics CUTMASTER Welding System?
    • R
      riveravictoriaAug 27, 2025
If the fault indicator and the 65 PSI indicator are flashing, it could be due to: * Improper Input Voltage. Check for proper primary input voltage. * A primary input voltage problem. Have a qualified person check the primary voltage to ensure it meets the unit requirements.

Why is the TEMPERATURE indicator on and the FAULT indicator flashing on my Thermal Dynamics Welding System?
    • W
      William AdamsAug 27, 2025
If the TEMPERATURE indicator is on and the FAULT indicator is flashing, this could be because: * Air flow through or around the unit is obstructed. * The duty cycle of the unit has been exceeded. Allow the unit to cool.

What to do if FAULT and 70 PSI indicators are flashing on my Thermal Dynamics Welding System?
    • K
      Krystal FloresAug 26, 2025
If the FAULT and 70 PSI indicators are flashing, it could be due to the following: * The shield cup might be loose. Hand tighten the shield cup until it is snug. * The torch might not be properly connected to the power supply. Ensure the torch ATC is securely fastened to the unit. * There could be a problem in the torch and leads PIP circuit, consider replacing the torch and leads.
