Bluetoothcanconnectdevicesashortdistancefromoneanother,andiscommonlyusedforconnecting
peripheraldevicestoacomputer,transferringdatabetweenhand-helddevicesandapersonalcomputer,or
remotelycontrollingandcommunicatingwithdevicessuchasmobilephones.
Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermightsupporttheBluetoothfeature.Totransferdatathrough
theBluetoothfeature,dothefollowing:

1.Gotothedesktop,andthenright-clickthedatathatyouwanttosend.

UsingtheNFCconnection
Nearfieldcommunicationisahigh-frequencyandshort-rangewirelesscommunicationstechnology.
Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermightcomewiththeNFCfeature.ByusingtheNFCfeature,you
canestablishtheradiocommunicationsbetweenyourcomputerandanotherNFC-enableddeviceovera
distancenomorethanafewcentimeters.
Bydefault,theNFCfeatureisenabled.IftheNFCfeatureofyourcomputerisdisabled,dothefollowingto
enabletheNFCfeature:

1.StarttheThinkPadSetupprogram.See“Securitymenu”onpage90.
2.SelectSecurity➙I/OPortAccess.
3.SettheNFCdeviceoptiontoEnabled.

1.Movethepointertothetop-rightorbottom-rightcornerofthescreentobringupthecharms.
2.ClickSettings➙ChangePCsettings➙Network➙Radiodevices.
3.SlidetheNFCswitchtotherighttoenabletheNFCfeature.
