DisablingtheTrackPointpointingdeviceorthetouchpad
TodisabletheTrackPointpointingdeviceorthetouchpad,dothefollowing:
1.ClickStart➙ControlPanel➙HardwareandSound➙Mouse➙UltraNav.
2.TodisabletheTrackPointpointingdevice,clearthecheckboxforEnableTrackPoint.
Todisablethetouchpad,clearthecheckboxforEnableTouchPad.
3.ClickOK.
AddingtheUltraNavicontotheWindowsnoticationarea
ForeasyaccesstotheUltraNavproperties,youcanenablethedisplayoftheUltraNaviconintheWindows
noticationarea.
ToenablethedisplayoftheUltraNaviconintheWindowsnoticationarea,dothefollowing:
1.ClickStart➙ControlPanel➙HardwareandSound➙Mouse.
2.IntheMousePropertieswindow,clicktheUltraNavtab.
3.SelectthecheckboxforShowUltraNavicononthesystemtray.
4.ClickOK.YoucannowchangethepropertiesoftheUltraNavpointingdevicebyclickingtheUltraNav

yourcomputerrunning.Differentcomputercomponentsconsumepoweratdifferentrates.Themoreyou
usethepower-intensivecomponents,thefasteryouconsumebatterypower.
Checkingthebatterystatus
ThePowerManagerbatterygaugeonthetaskbardisplaysthepercentageofbatterypowerremaining.
Therateatwhichyouusebatterypowerwilldeterminehowlongyoucanusethebatteryofyourcomputer
betweencharges.Becauseeachcomputeruserhasdifferenthabitsandneeds,itisdifculttopredicthow
longabatterychargewilllast.Therearetwomainfactors:
•Howmuchenergyisstoredinthebatterywhenyoubegintowork.
•Thewayyouuseyourcomputer.Forexample:
–Howoftenyouaccesstheharddiskdrive.
–Howbrightyoumakethecomputerdisplay.
–Howoftenyouusethewirelessfeatures.
Usingtheacpoweradapter
Thepowertorunyourcomputercancomeeitherfromthelithium-ion(Li-ion)batterypackprovidedwithit,
orfromacpowerthroughtheacpoweradapter.Whileyouuseacpower,thebatterychargesautomatically.
