Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermighthaveawirelessWANcard,oranmSATAsolidstatedrive,
orneitherinstalledinthePCIExpressMiniCardslot.Toinstallorreplaceeitherofthedevices,readthe
followingprerequisites.
PrerequisitesforreplacingorinstallingthewirelessWANcard

Electriccurrentfrompower,telephone,andcommunicationcablesishazardous.Toavoidshock
hazard,disconnectthecablesbeforeopeningthecoverofthisslot.
Attention:BeforeyoustartinstallingawirelessWANcard,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.
Thisactionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethecard.
ToreplaceorinstallthewirelessWANcard,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.Wait
threetoveminutestoletthecomputercool.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Removethebattery.See“Replacingthebattery”onpage69.
4.Loosenthescrewsonthememoryslotcover1,thenremovethecover2.
