Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.
Notes:Theharddiskdriveorsolidstatedriveisverysensitive.Incorrecthandlingcancausedamageand
permanentlossofdata.Observethefollowingguidelines:
•Replacetheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectors
andslotoftheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchanges,ordriveswapping.
•Donotdropthedriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Putthedriveonamaterial,suchassoftcloth,that
absorbsanyphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoverofthedrive.
•Donottouchtheconnector.
•Beforeremovingtheharddiskdrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformationonit,andthenturn
thecomputeroff.
•Neverremovethedrivewhilethesystemisoperating,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.
Toreplacetheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrive,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Removethebattery.See“Replacingthebattery”onpage69.
4.Loosenthescrewthatsecuresthecoveroftheslot.
