7.8 Overhaul and Replacement of Detector
(1) Overhaul of model CLR-21-A detector
(a) The model CLR-21-A detector should be overhauled at three-year intervals. For overhaul work,
ask DKK-TOA’s sales office or agent. Since overhaul work includes disassembly, replacement of
consumables (the working sections) and shaft center adjustment, our trained expert technical
service personnel will carry out this work.
(b) You can select either of the following methods: our technical service personnel visits your site or
you send the detector to our service office. If you send the detector to us, you may use an alternate
detector we offer during the overhaul, if desired.
(c) If you will not intend to carry out overhaul, replace the detector at the time when it is found
defective. In this case, be prepared with detectors in your stock, as non-periodical spare parts
(Confirm the model described on the detector and order in advance).
(2) Replacement of CLV Series detector
(a) If a CLV Series detector is incorporated, it is impossible to perform overhaul. The detector should
be replaced if it is found defective.
(b) In this case, be prepared with detectors in your stock, as non-periodical spare parts (Confirm the

(c) Reserving spare detectors in advance will bring a merit that the detector can be replaced
immediately when it is found defective. Also, the detector can be used over the long term until it is
found defective.
