1.Withthemachineonalevelsurface,positionawheel
soacheckplugisatthelowest(6o'clock)position
(Figure59).

plug,andallowtheoiltodrain.
3.Placeadrainpanunderthebrakehousing,removethe
drainplug,andallowtheoiltodrain(Figure60).

4.Whenalloftheoilhasdrainedfrombothlocations,
installthepluginthebrakehousing.
5.Rotatethewheeluntiltheopenplugholeinthe
planetaryisatthe12o'clockposition.
6.Throughtheopenhole,slowlylltheplanetarywith
0.65L(22oz)ofhighqualitySAE85W-140wtgear
lube.
Important:Iftheplanetaryllsbeforethe0.65L
(22oz)ofoilisadded,wait1hourorinstallthe
plugandmovethemachineapproximately10feet
todistributetheoilthroughthebrakesystem.
Then,removetheplugandaddtheremainingoil.
7.Installtheplug.
8.Repeattheprocedureontheoppositeplanetary/brake
assembly.
CheckingtheRear-Axle
Lubricant
ServiceInterval:Every400hours
TherearaxleislledwithSAE85W-140gearlube.Check
thelubricantlevelbeforeyourststarttheengineandevery
400hoursthereafter.Thecapacityis2.4L(80oz).Visually
inspectforleaksdaily.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Removeacheckplugfromoneendoftheaxleand
ensurethatthelubricantisuptothebottomofthe
hole(Figure61).
Note:Ifthelevelislow,removethellplugandadd
enoughlubricanttobringtheleveluptothebottomof
thecheck-plugholes.
