air-cleanerindicator
Every50hours—Inspecttheaircleaner.
Every400hours—Servicetheaircleaner(earlierifthe
aircleanerindicatorshowsred,andmorefrequentlyin
extremelydirtyordustyconditions).
Checktheair-cleanerbodyfordamage,whichcouldcausean
airleak.Replaceitifitisdamaged.Checkthewholeintake
systemforleaks,damage,orloosehoseclamps.
Servicetheair-cleanerlteronlywhentheserviceindicator
requiresit(Figure46).Changingtheairlterbeforeitis
necessaryonlyincreasesthechanceofdirtenteringtheengine
whenyouremovethelter.
