systemthatautomatically(ormanually)reversestoreduce
theradiator/oilcoolerandscreendebrisbuildup.Whilethis
featurecanhelpreducethetimerequiredtocleanradiator/oil
cooler,itdoesnoteliminatetheneedforroutinecleaning.
Periodiccleaningandinspectionoftheradiator/oilcooleris
stillrequired.
1.Shutofftheengineandraisethehood.
2.Cleantheengineareathoroughlyofalldebris.
3.Cleanbothsidesoftheradiator/oilcoolerarea
thoroughlywithcompressedair(Figure66).
Note:Startfromthefansideandblowthedebrisout
towardtheback.Then,cleanfromthebacksideand
blowtowardthefront.Repeatthisprocedureseveral
timesuntilallchaffanddebrisisremoved.

Adjusttheservicebrakeswhenthereismorethan25mm(1
inch)of“freetravel”ofthebrakepedal,orwhenthebrakes
donotworkeffectively.Freetravelisthedistancethebrake
pedalmovesbeforeyoufeelbrakingresistance.
1.Disengagethelockinglatchfromthebrakepedalsso
thatbothpedalsworkindependentlyofeachother.
2.Toreducefreetravelofthebrakepedals,tightenthe
brakesasfollows:
