Special Tools
Order special tools from your Toro distributor. Some
tools may also be available from a local supplier.
Multimeter
The multimeter can test electrical components and cir-
cuits for current (amps), resistance (ohms) or voltage.
Obtain this tool locally.
NOTE: Toro recommends the use of a DIGITAL Volt--
Ohm--Amp multimeter when testing electrical circuits.
The high impedance (internal resistance) of a digital me-
ter in the voltage mode will make sure that excess cur-
rent is not allowed through the meter. This excess
current can cause damage to circuits not designed t o
carry it.

Dielectric Lubricant/Sealant
Dielectric lubricant should be used to prevent corrosion
of non--sealed connection terminals. To ensure com-
plete coating of terminals, liberally apply lubricant to
both component and wire harness connector, plug con-
nector to component, unplug connector, reapply lubri-
cant to both surfaces and reconnect harness connector
to component. Connectors should be thoroughly
packed with lubricant for effective results.
