LightSwitch
Pushthelightswitch(Figure6),totoggletheheadlights
onoroff.
OilPressureWarningLight
Theoilpressurewarninglightglows(Figure6)ifthe
engineoilpressuredropsbelowasafelevelwhilethe
engineisrunning.Ifthelightickersorremainson,
stopthevehicle,turnofftheengine,andchecktheoil
level.Iftheoillevelwaslow,butaddingoildoesnot
causethelighttogooutwhentheengineisrestarted,
turntheengineoffimmediatelyandcontactyourlocal
Torodistributorforassistance.
Checktheoperationofwarninglightsasfollows:
1.Applytheparkingbrake.
2.TurntheignitionkeytotheOnposition,butdonot
starttheengine.Theoilpressurelightshouldglow
red.Ifthelightdoesnotfunction,eitherabulbis
burnedoutorthereisamalfunctioninthesystem
whichmustberepaired.
Note:Ifenginewasjustturnedoff,itmaytake1to2
minutesforthelighttocomeon.
ChargeIndicator
Illuminateswhenthebatteryisbeingdischarged.Ifthe
lightilluminatesduringoperation,stopthevehicle,turn
offtheengineandcheckforpossiblecauses(Figure6).
Checktheoperationofwarninglightsasfollows:
•Applytheparkingbrake.
•TurntheignitionkeytotheOnposition,butdo
notstarttheengine.Thechargeindicatorandoil
pressurelightsshouldglow .Ifanylightdoesnot
function,eitherabulbisburnedoutorthereisa
malfunctioninthesystemwhichmustberepaired.
FuelGauge
Thefuelgaugeshowstheamountoffuelinthetank.It
operatesonlywhenignitionswitchisintheOnposition
(Figure6).Redindicateslowfuellevelandblinkingred
indicatesnearempty.

Tostartacoldengine,closethecarburetorchokeby
