Jumpstartingcanbedangerous.Toavoid
personalinjuryordamagetoelectrical
componentsinvehicle,observethefollowing
warnings:
•Neverjumpstartwithavoltagesource
greaterthan15voltsD.C.Thiswilldamage
theelectricalsystem.
•Neverattempttojumpstartadischarged
batterythatisfrozen.Itcouldruptureor
explodeduringjumpstarting.
•Observeallbatterywarningswhilejump
startingyourvehicle.
•Besureyourvehicleisnottouchingthe
jumpstartvehicle.
•Connectingcablestothewrongpostcould
resultinpersonalinjuryand/ordamageto
theelectricalsystem.
1.Squeezethebatterycovertoreleasethetabsfrom
batterybase.Removethebatterycoverfromthe
batterybase(Figure41).
