Premaintenance
Procedures
Manyofthesubjectscoveredinthismaintenancesection
requireraisingandloweringthebed.Thefollowing
precautionsmustbetakenorseriousinjuryordeath
couldresult.
Beforeservicingormakingadjustmentsto
themachine,stopengine,setparkingbrake,
andremovekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
Removeanyloadmaterialfromthebedor
otherattachmentbeforeworkingundera
raisedbed.Neverworkunderaraisedbed
withoutpositioningthesafetysupportonafully
extendedcylinderrod.
UsingtheBedSafetySupport
Important:Alwaysinstallorremovethebed
supportfromtheoutsideofthebed.
1.Raisethebeduntiltheliftcylindersarefully
extended.
2.Removethebedsupportfromthestoragebrackets
onbackoftheROPSpanel(Figure23).
