clevispinbeforethelynchpinisinstalled.
JackingtheVehicle
Avehicleonajackmaybeunstableandslipoff
ofthejack,injuringanyonebeneathit.
•Donotstartthevehiclewhilethevehicleis
onajack.
•Alwaysremovethekeyfromtheswitch
beforegettingoffofthevehicle.
•Blockthetireswhenthevehicleisonajack.
•Donotstarttheenginewhilethevehicleisonajack,
becausetheenginevibrationorwheelmovement
couldcausethevehicletoslipoffofthejack.
•Donotworkunderthevehiclewithoutjackstands
supportingit.Thevehiclecouldslipoffajack,
injuringanyonebeneathit.
•Whenjackingupthefrontofthevehicle,always
placea2x4block(orsimilarmaterial)betweenthe
jackandthevehicleframe.
•Thejackingpointatthefrontofthevehicleisunder
thefrontcenterframesupport(Figure28)andatthe
rearitisundertheaxle(Figure29).
