TheWorkmaniscapableofpullingtrailersand
attachmentsofgreaterweightthanthevehicleitself.
Severaltypesoftowhitchesareavailableforthe
Workman,dependingonyourapplication.Contact
yourAuthorizedToroDistributorfordetails.
Whenequippedwithatowhitchboltedontothe
rearaxletube,yourWorkmancantowtrailersor
attachmentswithaGrossTrailerWeight(GTW)upto
3500lb(1587kg).Alwaysloadatrailerwith60%of
thecargoweightinthefrontofthetrailer.Thisplaces
approximately10%(600lb(272kg)max.)oftheGross
TrailerWeight(GTW)onthetowhitchofthevehicle.
Trailerbrakesarerequiredwheneveryoutowatrailer
over1500lb(680kg)GTWistowedbehindaWorkman
vehicle.
Whenhaulingcargoortowingatrailer(attachment),do
notoverloadyourvehicleortrailer.Overloadingcan
causepoorperformanceordamagetothebrakes,axle,
engine,transaxle,steering,suspension,bodystructure,
ortires.
Important:Toreducepotentialfordriveline
damage,uselowrange.
Whentowing5thwheelattachments,likeafairway
aerator,alwaysinstallthewheelybar(includedwiththe
5thwheelkit)topreventthefrontwheelsfromlifting
offthegroundifthetowedattachmentsmovementis
suddenlyimpaired.
HydraulicControl
Thehydrauliccontrolsupplieshydraulicpowerfrom
thevehiclepumpwhenevertheengineisrunning.The
powercanbeusedthroughthequickcouplersatthe
rearofthevehicle.
Important:Ifmultiplevehiclesusethe
sameattachment,crosscontaminationofthe
transmissionuidmayoccur.Changethe
transmissionuidmorefrequently
ControlLeverPositions
OffPosition
Thisisthenormalpositionforthecontrolvalve
whenitisnotbeingused.Inthispositionthework
portsofthecontrolvalveareblockedandanyload
willbeheldbythecheckvalvesinbothdirections.
Raise(QuickCouplerAPosition)
Thisisthepositionwhichwillliftthebed,rear
hitchattachmentorapplypressuretoquickcoupler
A.Thisalsoallowsreturnoilfromquickcoupler
Btoowbackintothevalveandthenouttothe
reservoir.Thisisamomentarypositionandwhen
theleverisreleaseditspringreturnstothecenter
offposition.

Lower(QuickCouplerBPosition)
Thispositionwilllowerthebed,rearhitch
attachment,orapplypressuretoquickcouplerB.
ThisalsoallowsreturnoilfromquickcouplerA
toowbackintothevalveandthenouttothe
reservoir.Thisisamomentarypositionandwhen
theleverisreleaseditspringreturnstothecenteroff
position.Momentarilyholdingandthenreleasing
thecontrolleverinthispositionwillprovideow
toquickcouplerBwhichprovidespowerdownon
therearhitch.Whenreleased,itwillholdthedown
pressureonthehitch.
Important:Ifusedwithahydrauliccylinder,
holdingthecontrolleverinthelowerposition
causestheoilowtogooverareliefvalvewhich
candamagethehydraulicsystem.
OnPosition
ThispositionissimilartoLower(quickcoupler
Bposition).ItalsodirectsoiltoquickcouplerB
exceptthattheleverisheldinthispositionby
adetentleverinthecontrolpanel.Thisallows
oiltoowcontinuouslytoequipmentthatusesa
hydraulicmotor.Thispositionmustonlybeused
onattachmentswithahydraulicmotorattached.
Important:Ifusedwithahydrauliccylinderor
noattachment,theOnpositioncausestheoil
owtogooverareliefvalvewhichcandamage
