Operation
Note:Determinetheleftandrightsidesofthe
machinefromthenormaloperatingposition.
Beforeservicingormakingadjustmentsto
themachine,stoptheengine,settheparking
brake,andremovethekeyfromtheswitch.
Removeanyloadmaterialfromthebedor
otherattachmentbeforeworkingundera
raisedbed.Neverworkunderaraisedbed
withoutpositioningthesafetysupportonafully
extendedcylinderrod.
CheckingtheEngineOilLevel
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Theengineisshippedwithapproximately2quarts
(1.9l)(w/lter)ofoilinthecrankcase;however,you
shouldchecktheoillevelbeforeandaftertheengine
isrststarted.
Note:Thebesttimetochecktheengineoiliswhen
theengineiscoolbeforeithasbeenstartedforthe
day.Ifithasalreadybeenrun,allowtheoiltodrain
backdowntothesumpforatleast10minutesbefore
checking.IftheoillevelisatorbelowtheAddmark
onthedipstick,addoiltobringtheoilleveltotheFull
mark.Donotoverll.Iftheoillevelisbetweenthe
FullandAddmarks,noadditionaloilisrequired.
Theengineusesanyhigh-qualitydetergentoilhaving
theAmericanPetroleumInstitute(API)service
classicationSH,SJ,orhigher.Oilviscosity(weight)is
selectedaccordingtoanticipatedambienttemperature.
Temperature/viscosityrecommendationsareas
