“Check staple cartridge in the Saddle Stitch Unit”
This message will be shown only if the Saddle Stitch Finisher (optional) is installed. When the
staples in the stapler of the Saddle Stitch Finisher run out, this message appears.
Replace the staple cartridge according to the following procedure.

Open the front cover of the fin-
isher.

Slide the Saddle Stitch Unit
carefully toward the front.

Pull the handle of the stapler of
the Saddle Stitch Unit toward
you to unlock it. Then turn the
stapler clockwise for about 60
degrees.
The stapler will be locked and will not be
turned any further when it becomes
almost horizontal.
