4. BACKGROUND ADJUSTMENT
This function allows you to adjust the density of the original’s background or to avoid copying the back side
of originals.
* It is available only in the full colour mode.
* Background Adjustment and Automatic Copy Density mode cannot be used together.

Place paper in the drawer(s).

Place the original(s).
- "2.SETTING ORIGINALS" Page 45

Press the [IMAGE] button to enter the
image menu, and then press the
[BACKGROUND ADJUSTMENT] button.

Press the [LIGHT] (or [DARK]) button to
adjust the density.

Press the [ENTER] button.
z Select other copy modes as required.

Press the [START] button.
Canceling the Background Adjustment
There are 2 ways for clearing the setting.
- Press the [LIGHT] or [DARK] button on the Background column
to move the indicator to 0, and then press the [ENTER] button.
- Press the [DEFAULT] button, and then press the [ENTER] button.
