Usually, you will know which program you want to use for a par
ticular task.
This lesson teaches you how to start programs from the desktop,
using two of the programs, Paint and Windows Explorer, built into
Windows 98.
1 Click Start, then point to Programs.
Windows 98 displays a list of program folders.
2 Point to Accessories, then click Paint.
Windows 98 opens Paint, a simple drawing program.

3 To open the second program, click Start, then point to
Programs.
4 Click Windows Explorer.
Windows 98 opens Windows Explorer, which provides access
to all your computer's resources. For example, it lets you see
all the files in a particular folder on the computer's hard disk.
