Adding
memory
(optional)

Reposition
the
memory
module
cover
and
reinstall
the
two
screws
to
secure
the
cover.
12 Turn
the
computer
over.
13 Reconnect and
turn
on
any
peripheral
devices
that
were
dis
connected
from
the
computer.

If
you
want
to
power
the
computer
using
AC
power,
connect
the
AC
adapter
to
the
computer
and
plug
the
power
cable
into
an
AC
outlet.

Press
the
power
button
to
boot
the
computer.
When
you
turn
on
your
computer,
it
automatically
recognizes
the
new
memory
configuration.
Removing
a
memory
module
The
memory
module
is
accessed
from
the
underside
of
the
com
puter.
You
need
a
small
Phillips
screwdriver
to
remove
the
memory
module
cover.
To
remove
the
memory
module:

Remove
the
memory
module
cover.
For
instructions,
see
steps
1
through 8
of
"Installing
a
memory
module"
on
page
20.
2
Gently
press
the
latches
on
both
sides
of
the
memory
module
to
release
the
module
from
the
connector.
The
memory
module
pops
partially
out
of
the
connector.

Carefully
remove
the
module
from
the
connector.
NOTE:
Do
not
touch
the
connectors
on
the
memory
module
or
on
the
computer.
Debris
on
the
connectors
can
cause
memory
access
problems.

Position
the
memory
module
cover
on
the
bottom
of
the
com
puter.
Secure
the
cover
using
the
two
screws
removed
earlier.
5
Reconnect
and
turn
on
any
peripheral
devices
that
were
dis
connected
from
the
computer.
