Selecting
a
place
to

Creating
a
computer-friendly
environment
Place
the
computer
on
a
flat
surface
that
is
large
enough
to
hold
the
computer
and
any
other
devices
you
plan
to
use,
such
as
a
printer.
Leave
enough
space
around
the
computer
and
other
equip
ment
to
allow
adequate
ventilation
and
prevent
overheating.
To
keep your
computer
in
prime
operating
condition,
protect
your
work
area
from:
Dust,
moisture
and
direct sunlight.
Liquids
and
corrosive
chemicals.
CAUTION:
If
you
spill
liquid
into
the
computer,
turn
it
off,
unplug
it
from
the
AC
power
source
and
let
it
dry
out
com
pletely
before
turning
it
on
again.
If
the
computer
does
not
operate
properly
after
you
turn
it
back
on,
contact
a
Toshiba-authorized
service
provider.
Equipment
that
generates
a
strong
electromagnetic
field,
such
as
stereo
speakers
(other
than
the
computer's
internal
speak
ers),
or
speakerphones.
Rapid
changes
in
temperature
or
humidity.
Don't
place
the
computer
near
heating
or
air
conditioning
vents.
Extreme
heat,
cold,
or
humidity.
Operate
the
computer
within
a
temperature
range
of 41
to
95
degrees
Fahrenheit
(5 to
35
degrees
Celsius)
and
20
to
80
percent
non-condensing
humidity.
Keeping
yourself
comfortable

are
becoming

as

spend
more
time
using
their
computers.
However,
with
a
little
care
and
proper
use
of
the
equipment,
you
can
work
comfortably
throughout
the
day.
