Using the keyboard
NOTE: Windows 98 records inform3tion, such as your desk
top setup, during its shutdown procedure, if you don't let
Windows 98 shut down normally, details such as new icon
positions may be lost.
Using the keyboard
This section provides information on the features and capabilities
of the keyboard.
Character keys
Typing with the character keys is very much like typing on a type
writer, except that:
♦ The spacebar creates a space character instead of just passing
over an area of the page.
♦ The lowercase 1 (el) and the number 1 are not interchangeable.
♦ The uppercase letter O and the number 0 (zero) are not
interchangeable.
♦ The Caps Lock key changes the alphabet keys to uppercase—
the number and symbol keys are not affected.
