Scan Freq hor/vert is the horizontal and vertical scanning frequency in
Hertz. This is for external monitors only.
TECHNICAL NOTE: All SVGA modes are supported with help
from the SVGA driver.
Multiple refresh rates for an external monitor are supported
by help from the SVGA video driver with Chips CPL
Satellite computers video modes
Your Satellite computers support video modes defined in the fol
lowing table. If your application offers a selection of mode
numbers that do not match the numbers in the table, select a mode
based on mode type, resolution, character matrix, number of col
ors and refresh rates. Also, consider the following points:
♦ If your software supports both graphics and text modes, the
screen display may appear to operate faster using a text mode.
♦ The display's highest graphics resolution is 1280 horizontal x
1024 vertical lines.
HINT: 640 x 480 modes will not use the entire area of the
built-in display. In DOS, there will be a blank band at the
upper and lower edges of the screen using these modes.
