7.4 Manual Temperature Setting
If the Temperature sensor is not connected, the temperature of the sample solution must be set
manually for accurate pH measurements. A separate thermometer will be required for this.
1. Switch the meter on.
2. Measure the temperature of the sample.
3. Select Temperature Calibration (

→ F1:Calibrate →
→→
→ F3:Temp.
).
4. The current temperature setting is now displayed. For example…

5. Enter the temperature of the sample using the Numeric Keypad.
Press to save the new value.
Alternatively, press to quit and retain the current setting.
6. When returning the smartCHEM-Titro to normal measurement mode, note the “
C
” in the
temperature readout alternating with an “
M
” indicating that Manual Temperature Compensation
is in use. For example…
