1. From the Dashboard screen select the thermostat where you want to add
the restriction.
2. Tap SSeettttiinnggss >> RReessttrriiccttiioonnss:: AAcccceessss LLeevveell.
3. Tap the preferred restriction level, then tap AAppppllyy.
• NNoonnee — allows access to all features in the MMeennuu and SSeettttiinnggss screens,
allowing the user to change everything.
• LLooww— disables access to the MMeennuu screen, but allows SSyysstteemm and FFaann
MMooddee changes as well as temperature setpoint adjustment and timed
overrides.
• MMeeddiiuumm— disables access to the MMeennuu screen and SSyysstteemm and FFaann
MMooddee, but allows temperature setpoint adjustment and timed overrides.
• HHiigghh — only allows access to start a timed override when unoccupied or
change temperature setpoints on the HHoommee screen when occupied.
IImmppoorrttaanntt:: If the thermostat is set to low, medium, or high access
restriction, you can disable the restriction by pressing the Menu
button for 5 seconds. The MMeennuu screen will display, allowing
you to navigate to the RReessttrriiccttiioonnss screen and change the
restriction level.
PIN Access
Access to the Menu screen and Service screen can have additional security
enabled in the form of a 4 digit PIN code. This will result in a more secure
thermostat rather than using only Access Restrictions as explained in the
previous section.
PIN Access for the thermostat is set up using the Pivot Mobile App. Either the
account owner or any account user can set up PIN access. PIN Access is set
up under an individual thermostat: SSeettttiinnggss >> RReessttrriiccttiioonnss >> PPaassss ccooddee.
NNoottee:: PIN access can be set up for the thermostat, but users must have
Access Restriction set to Low, Medium, or High for PIN access to
function.
Language Support
The Pivot thermostat supports English and French Canadian languages.
Language selections are done at the thermostat.
