Electronic Air Cleaners
STEP 1
Remove electrical power going into the air handler.
STEP 2
On the communicating systems air handler, remove the blower access panel.
STEP 3
Connect Red stripped wire to "R" terminal on the air handler terminal strip.
STEP 4
Connect Blue stripped wire to "B" terminal on the air handler terminal strip.
STEP 5
Connect the brown wire from the air cleaner harness to the "D" terminal on the Communicating Systems Air
Handler.
STEP 6
Connect the Black wire from the air cleaner wire harness to earth ground by attaching the wire to a grounded
screw that is connected to the metal air handler chassis.
STEP 7
The Green and White wires on the air cleaner wiring harness are unused in this application and should be
insulated separately.
STEP 8
Replace the blower access panel.
STEP 9
Reconnect electrical power to the air handler.
STEP 10
Check air cleaner and air handler operation.
Electrical Connections To A Communicating Systems Air Handler In Communicating Mode
WARNING
Hazardous Voltage. Disconnect all electric power, including remote disconnects before servicing. Follow
proper lockout/tagout procedures to ensure the power can not be inadvertently energized. Failure to discon-
nect power before servicing could result in death or serious injury.
