EEV fault LED 3 flash
Problem Description
• Suction pressure transducer fault
- Valve will close and LPCO will trip
Possible Causes/Solutions
• Suction pressure transducer input is out of range
- Compare DC voltage to sensor chart in literature
EEV fault LED 4 flash
Problem Description
• Suction temperature sensor fault
- Valve will close and LPCO will trip
Possible Causes/Solutions
• Suction temperature sensor is out of range
- Compare DC voltage to sensor chart in literature
EEV fault LED 5 flash
Problem Description
• EEV stepper motor coil fault
- Power supply will shut down to protect board
Possible Causes/Solutions
• EEV stepper motor coil is shorted
• Wiring to stepper motor coil is shorted
EEV fault LED 7 flash
Problem Description
• EEV is responding but system not performing prop-
erly
Possible Causes/Solutions
• System refrigerant charge low
• Restriction in refrigerant circuit
EEV fault LED 8 flash
Problem Description
• EEV controller senses superheat less than 3° with
valve in the minimum position during an active call for
compressor heat
Possible Causes/Solutions
• Compressor either not running or running but not
pumping
EEV fault LED 9 flash
EEV Control Board = 9 Flash
Problem Description
• EEV controller senses superheat below 3° for at least
ten minutes in cooling mode of operation
Possible Causes/Solutions
• Indoor metering device not operating properly
• Low indoor air flow
• Refrigerant circuit restriction
EEV fault LED 1 flash
Problem Description
• EEV stepper motor coil fault
Possible Causes/Solutions
• EEV stepper motor coil is open or has an intermittent
short
• Wiring to stepper motor coil is open or has an
intermittent short
EEV fault LED 2 flash
Problem Description
• Internal control fault
Possible Causes/Solutions
• Replace EEV control board
EEV fault LED 6 flash
Problem Description
• EEV is not responding to a request for position change
Possible Causes/Solutions
• EEV is stuck
- Faulty, overheated or debris in refrigerant circuit
EEV fault LED 10 flash
EEV Control Board = 10 Flash
