Charge Assist™ Procedure with a

NOTE: On the Charge Assist™ control set the LINE
LENGTH DIP SWITCHES before running system or entering CA
Mode. See Subcool Charging Corrections Table (Figure 6) .

SYSTEM CONTAINS OIL AND REFRIGERANT UNDER HIGH
PRESSURE. RECOVER REFRIGERANT TO RELIEVE PRESSURE
BEFORE OPENING SYSTEM.

personal illness or injury or severe equipment damage.
Live Electrical Components!
During installation, testing, servicing and
troubleshooting of this product, it may be necessary to
work with live electrical components. Failure to follow
all electrical safety precautions when exposed to live
electrical components could result in death or serious
injury.

Step 2
Charging must be done using liquid refrigerant.
Step 3
Purge all hoses of non condensable gases. Charge
Assist
TM
Tool has a Purge Knob.
Step 4
Plug the Interface Cable from the Charge Assist
TM
Tool onto the unit’s Control Board (Terminals T3 &
T4).
Step 1-D
Re-tighten and turn knob back to off.
Step 1-E
Connect the interface cable from the tool to the cir-
cuit board at the “charge solenoid” (T3 and T4.) (Fig-
ure 5.)

Follow instructions for Charge Assist
TM
Procedures

The Green LED on the Charge Assist
TM
Tool will turn
on indicating the solenoid valve is open.
Step 7
When the Charge Assist
TM
procedure is completed,
close off refrigerant cylinder and carefully disconnect
hoses.
