RTS/CTSThreshold:TheRequestToSend(RTS)functionispartofthenetworking
protocol.AwirelessdevicethatneedstosenddatawillsendaRTSbeforesending
thedatainquestion.Thedestinationwirelessdevicewillsendaresponsecalled
CleartoSend(CTS).TheRTSThresholddefinesthesmallestdatapacketsize
allowedtoinitiatetheRTS/CTSfunction.

BeaconPeriod:Abeaconisamanagementframeusedinwirelessnetworksthat
transmittedperiodicallytoannouncethepresenceandprovideinformationabout
theaccesspoint’swirelessnetwork.Theintervalistheamounttimebetweeneach
beacontransmission.
DTIM:DTIMisacountdowninformingclientsofthenextwindowforlisteningto
broadcastandmulticastmessages.Whentheaccesspointhasbufferedbroadcast
ormulticastmessagesforassociatedclients,itsendsthenextDTIMwithaDTIM
